<h1>DATT :: Dinner At The Thompson's - Soul, nu soul, new soul, jazz, funk, electro, break-beat, trip-hop, hip hop, acoustique, lucille and fablive, artiste, auteur, compositeur, musicien, musique, new sound.</h1><br /> <p>Originally from New York, Lucille crosses paths with Fablive from Le Havre, France and soon after they record their first opus, entitled Lifetime On Planet Earth, recorded in Fablive's studio in France, and mastered in L.A. by Dave Cooley. The album, produced by Fablive, an eclectic concoction of jazz, soul and funk, imbued with influences of electronic, break-beat, and acoustic sounds, leaves to the musically adept much to reflect on. Intentionally unpolished, and its sometimes imperfect recordings, give a live feeling to certain tracks, a rarity, in today's often over-produced sounding albums.<br /> It's apparent minimalist compositions and subtle harmonic changes, composed, arranged, and in most tracks played by Fablive himself, bring rap, soul, and electro into real time, fresh delicate, and rough all at once. After his first project as composer, musician, and producer of the rap group UNEAT (Recycle; 2004) Fablive composed tracks for Dinner At The Thompson's with an intense, yet soulful groove. He keeps true to his rough beats, coloring the tracks with subtle bits of sampling and live instumental recordings.</p> <p>Originaires de New York, Lucille (chant), et Fablive (MPC, guitare) du Havre, sortent leur premier opus (Lifetime On Planet Earth), enregistré au studio de Fablive, et masterisé à L.A. par Dave Cooley.<br /> Ce disque au sonorités originales produit par Fablive, évolue aussi bien dans la soul, le jazz et le funk, que dans des sons electros, break-beat ou acoustiques.<br /> Aprés son premier E.P. de rap (Uneat, 2004), Fablive compose des titres d'une intensité étonnante. Le chant de Lucille pose une atmosphère douce et sensuelle, aux couleurs diverses, avec des textes intelligents et résolument humains.<br /> Une voix naturelle et chaude qui nourrira les plus fins gourmets.
